PhD Scholarships in Mathematics and Statistics

UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarships in Mathematics and Statistics (package of A$50,000 per annum)

UNSW is the only university in Australia to be ranked in the top 100 in the world in Mathematics and Statistics by each of the four ranking bodies: CWTS Leiden, ARWU, USNews, QS. As part of its ambitious new Strategy 2025, UNSW is offering some elite Scientia PhD scholarships – further details are given below.

Supervisory teams for these scholarships have been chosen for their research and supervisory excellence.  The teams in the UNSW School of Mathematics and Statistics cover a range of research areas in pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, including interdisciplinary research. Applicants must make an expression of interest to one of the supervisory teams by 21 July 2017.  They will be advised after this date if they have been chosen by the supervisory team to make a full application for a Scientia PhD Scholarship. For full details of the projects and teams and the expression of interest process, see LINK
