Applica(ons are invited for the recruitment of one (1) Research Associate (RA) posi2on, in all areas of sta(s(cs and mathema(cs, purely on temporary basis at the Theore(cal Sta(s(cs and Mathema(cs Unit (TSMUD) of the Indian Sta(s(cal Ins(tute, Delhi Centre. Researchers, especially those with a recent Ph.D. degree, are encouraged to apply.
The selected candidates would be placed in Category I, II and III depending on the qualifica(on and experience as per the DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30 January 2019.
Qualifica2on : Ph.D. degree with at least one publica(on in a Science Cita(on Indexed (SCI) Journal. Those who have submiUed their thesis may also apply. Researchers, especially those with a recent Ph.D. degree, are encouraged to apply

Pay : Consolidated monthly emoluments of 47000/- (Rupees forty seven thousand only), 49000/- (Rupees forty nine thousand only) and `54000/- (Rupees fi_y four thousand only) plus HRA as per rules of the Ins(tute per month depending on the qualifica(on and experience in the three categories respecvely.
Tenure of appointment : The tenure of appointment will be ini(ally for one year from the date of his/her joining the Ins(tute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidate. Based on performance of the candidate, the term of research associateship can be up to a maximum of two years.
